The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is accepting proposals from Regions 1-6 (USA) or 7 (Canada) for the 2017 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP). SPS Members are invited to submit a proposal to host GlobalSIP. The 2016 IEEE Image, Video, and Multidimensional Signal Processing (IVMSP) Workshop is the 12th of a series of unique meetings that bring together researchers in academia and industry to share the most recent and exciting advances in image, video, and multidimensional signal processing and analysis. The main theme of the 2016 IVMSP Workshop is low-dimensional models for image and video processing and analysis. The scientific program of IVMSP 2016 will include plenary talks, invited sessions, as well as regular sessions with contributed research papers.

The fourth IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP) will be held in Greater Washington, DC, USA on December 7–9, 2016. GlobalSIP has rapidly assumed flagship status within the IEEE Signal Processing Society. It focuses on signal and information processing and up-and-coming signal processing themes. The conference aims to feature world-class speakers, tutorials, exhibits, and oral and poster sessions. GlobalSIP is comprised of co-located symposia selected based on responses to the Call for Symposium Proposals. Topics include but are not limited to:

In 2016, ICIP will for the first time feature a Visual Innovation Award. This Award was created to recognize pioneers of transformative technologies and business models in areas within the technical scope of IEEE ICIP. The Award showcases innovations that have had great impact on human experiences with technology or are anticipated to do so in the near future.
