Dear CI TC Members, Associate Members, and Affiliate Members,
On behalf of the IEEE CI TC Nominations and Elections Subcommittee, I would like to call for the nomination of candidates for the TC Vice Chair position. The elected candidate will serve as Vice Chair from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, and will then succeed to the position of Chair from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027. The elected candidate will then succeed to the position of Past Chair from January 1, 2028 to December 31, 2028. Thus, the position is a four-year commitment. The responsibilities for all of these positions are described in the TC policies document:
Eligibility
Only those individuals who are currently serving or have previously served as elected members of the Technical Committee are eligible to be nominated. Vice Chair candidates that are part of the Nominations and Elections Subcommittee are required to withdraw from the subcommittee. Vice Chair nominees are not eligible to vote in Vice Chair elections.
Each nominee must confirm in writing their willingness to, if elected, serve and perform the duties prescribed by the SPS Bylaws and Policies and Procedures as well as the CI TC Bylaws and Policies and Procedures. Each nominee must also submit a one-page position statement and/or vitae to be distributed before the election.
Nominations & Elections Process
Nominations should be submitted to https://forms.gle/CrYhoaQMSC8e3ZpQ7 no later than September 15, 2024. Self-nominations are allowed. The nomination should include (1) a written confirmation that the nominee is willing to perform the duties of the position; (2) a one-page position statement and/or vitae to be distributed before the election.
The election will take place during October and results will be finalized in early November.
Sincerely,
Yuejie Chi
