Three-Dimensional Research Adds New Dimensions

For most people, three dimensional (3-D) is just another example of “movie magic.” Yet for the researchers developing and refining the 3-D technologies behind today’s big-screen blockbusters, as well as for applications in a variety of other fields, the work is very real and decidedly non-magical. Suddenly, 3-D is everywhere. Beyond entertainment, 3-D technology is finding place in such diverse fields as engineering, chemistry, and security. To learn more about the resurgence of 3-D technology, please read the article “Three-Dimensional Research Adds New Dimensions”, in the May issue of IEEE Signal Processing Magazine.
