Women in Signal Processing Private Directory
Women in Signal Processing (WISP) offers networking and engagement opportunities to and for women across signal processing disciplines and professions to exchange ideas and experience from research, industry, and academia. WISP seeks to develop programs and materials to foster collaboration among members and facilitate female member recruiting, services, and visibility in STEM fields.
DCASE 2017 Workshop is the 2nd workshop on Detection and Classification of Acoustic Scenes and Events. It is dedicated to recent advances on computational analysis of everyday environmental audio scenes and on closely related topics. The technical program will include invited speakers, oral and poster presentations of peer-reviewed submissions, and a special session about the DCASE 2017 Challenge.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is pleased to organize the Student Career Luncheon at ICIP 2017, Tuesday, September 19, 12:30~14:00.
At the luncheon, students will meet representatives from industry, who will introduce their companies and job opportunities. Company representatives will also have the opportunity to interview and recruit attendees during the event.

Sounds carry a large amount of information about our everyday environment and physical events that take place in it. We can perceive the sound scene we are within (busy street, office, etc.), and recognize individual sound sources (car passing by, footsteps, etc.).
