The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) elected two new officers who will start their terms on 1 January 2014:

Rabab K. Ward (University of British Columbia) will serve as 2014-2015 SPS President-Elect. She succeeds Alex Acero (Microsoft) who has held the post of President-Elect and will become President in 2014.

 

Konstantinos (Kostas) N. Plataniotis (University of Toronto) will serve as 2014-2016 SPS Vice President-Membership. He succeeds John Treichler (Raytheon Applied Signal Technology), who has held the post of Vice President-Awards and Membership since January 2011.
