IEEE Signal Processing Society Past President Rabab K. Ward in her capacity as Chair of the Society’s Nominations and Appointments Committee invites nominations for the IEEE Signal Processing Society Officer positions of President-Elect for the term 1 January 2020-31 December 2021 and Vice President-Membership for the term 1 January 2020-31 December 2022.

The IEEE Jack S. Kilby Signal Processing Medal is being presented to Alan Willsky of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society is excited to launch the new Technical Pre-Approved Seasonal Schools Program, which will reward Chapters with a history of high quality programs and help increase the Society’s visibility and overall membership development of Students.

The IEEE SPS congratulates the following SPS members who will receive the Society’s prestigious awards during ICASSP 2019 in Brighton, UK.

Five colleagues were honored with the appointment of Distinguished Lecturer and they are:  Petros Boufounos (Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories), Israel Cohen (Technion - Israel Institute of Technology), Janusz Konrad (Boston University), Anna Scaglione (Arizona State University), and Rui Zhang (National University of Singapore).
