The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the position of Chief Editor for the Signal Processing Repository (SigPort) for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2015. SigPort is in the development stage, but it will be the Society’s online archive of manuscripts, reports, theses, and supporting materials.

Your vote is important! The election of Directors-at-Large for Regions 1-6 and Region 8 (term 1 January 2015 through 31 December 2016) and Members-at-Large (term 1 January 2015 through 31 December 2017) of the IEEE SPS Board of Governors is now open.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) has more than 16,000 members worldwide – over 16,000 people’s worth of knowledge and ideas spread around the globe. While the conveniences of modern technology have certainly made worldwide communication easier, there’s great value in exchanging ideas face-to-face.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 41 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest.

The SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for 2014 major SPS awards. Each year, SPS honors outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions related to signal processing through the Society Award, the Technical Achievement Award, the Education Award, and the Meritorious Service Award

The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) elected two new officers who will start their terms on 1 January 2015. Also, six new Editors-in-Chief were appointed for IEEE Signal Processing Society journals starting 1 January 2015.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the positions of: Director-Membership Services, Director-Industrial Relations, Director-Student Services and Chapters Committee Chair.

Do you know someone, living or deceased, who has made one or more major contribution(s) to IEEE Technical Activities? Now is your chance to nominate him or her for the Technical Activities Board Hall of Honor.

Nominees will be considered based on their contributions to the creation, development, or advancement of the technical objectives of IEEE.

The final 2014 recipient(s) will be determined by the IEEE Technical Activities Board at the November 2014 meeting. The nomination deadline has been extended to 4 August 2014.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the 2015 Class of SPS Distinguished Lecturers (DLs). The deadline for nominations is 31 May 2014.
