So, 25 years after the name Signal Processing was adopted, it is timely to reflect on whether it continues to portray a true image of the Society’s activities. Join IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) in celebrating 20 years of IEEE WIE.

In 1994, the IEEE Board of Directors established the Women in Engineering (WIE) committee to support the recruitment and retention of women within IEEE. Since then, IEEE WIE has grown to 450+ affinity groups with 15,000+ members around the world. With over 800 outreach, humanitarian, technical, community, and professional events last year, WIE is impacting, enhancing, and enabling the lives of hundreds of thousands of women and young girls in communities worldwide.

At the 25 November 2013 IEEE Board of Directors meeting a revision to the IEEE Code of Ethics was approved.

Nominations for the Fellow Class of 2015 are now being accepted. The deadline is 1 March 2014.
