ICASSP 2017
The 42st IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2017) will be held during March 5-9, 2017 in the vibrant city of New Orleans, USA. In 2016 (Shanghai) SAM sponsored 14 sessions at ICASSP, and we expect a similar number this year. We hope to meet you soon in New Orleans!

CAMSAP 2017
We would like to announce the seventh edition of the IEEE International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP 2017) to be held in Curacao, Dutch Antilles, from December 10 – 13, 2017. The workshop will take place in the Santa Barbara Beach and Golf Resort, which is close to the capital Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage city! The General Co-Chairs are André L. F. de Almeida and Martin Haardt. Xiaoli Ma and Shahram ShahbazPanahi serve as Technical Co-Chairs. The workshop will feature an impressive collection of plenary talks from Tülay Adali (University of Maryland Baltimore County, USA), Mérouane Debbah (CentraleSupelec, France), Yonina C. Eldar (Technion, Israel), Nikos Sidiropoulos (University of Minnesota, USA), Antonio Ortega (University of Southern California, USA) and Daniel P. Palomar (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong). The organizers have encouraged proposals for special sessions by February 15, 2017. The paper submission deadline is on June 15, 2017.

SAM 2018
We are also pleased to announce the 10th IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM 2018) to be held in Sheffield from July 8-11, 2018 with General Co-Chairs Wei Liu and Peter Willett and Technical Co-Chairs Sergiy Vorobyov and Yimin D. Zhang.
Sheffield, the “Steel City”, the third largest English district by population, is located within the beautiful valleys of the River Don. An estimated 2 million trees in the exuberant city, giving Sheffield the highest ratio of trees to people of any city in Europe. The city is also proud of its independent and authentic atmosphere, from award-winning theatre to striking art spaces, arena filling concerts to independent cinema, the great outdoors to inner city pampering.

SAM 2016
The ninth IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM 2016) took place at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) from July 10 – 13, 2016, with a total of 215 attendees. The workshop included three tutorials, five plenary talks by Stephen P. Boyd, P. P. Vaidyanathan, A. Lee Swindlehurst, Hélio Librantz, and Bhaskar Rao, and a total of 15 special sessions. We would like to thank the General Co-Chairs Martin Haardt and Rodrigo de Lamare and their Organizing Committee for their hard work to make this workshop a success.

Membership elections took place and the Sensor Array and Multichannel technical committee (SAM TC) welcomes its new members:
We welcome our first-term members: Pascal Chevalier (CNAM, France), Lei Huang (College of Information Engineering, China), Yongwei Huang (Guangdong University of Technology, China), Wei Liu (University of Sheffield, UK), Vincenzo Matta (University of Salerno, Italy), Karim Abed Meraim (Université d’Orléans/ Polytech Orléans, PRISME Lab, France), Antonio Napolitano (University of Napoli, Italy).
We congratulate our returning (2nd term) members: Monica Bugallo, Yonina Eldar, Braham Himed, Jian Li, Chong Meng Samson See, Milica Stojanovic.
Not only are these thirteen names fantastic news for our board, but they also enhance our diversity geographically and demographically.
We would like to thank the former members Antonio De Maio, Jean-Pierre Delmas, Shawn Kraut, Pascal Larzabal, Ali H. Sayed, Erchin Serpedin, who have retired from their SAM TC duties for their valuable contributions and their long lasting engagement.
