The IEEE Signal Processing Society Hyderabad Chapter has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 Chapter of the Year Award! The Chapter of the Year Award will be presented at the ICASSP 2020 Awards Ceremony in Barcelona, Spain. The award is presented annually to Chapters that have provided their membership with the highest quality of programs, activities and services. 

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 151 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest.

Well, it’s January 1^st. An old year is behind us, and a new year is ahead of us. Many of us have made various New Year’s resolutions, and most of them are probably dealing with our lifestyles (e.g., eat healthy, exercise more, and similar resolutions that will last until the second week of January). In the spirit of holidays, I would like to propose that we all make a collective New Year’s resolution. It’s a simple resolution. We promise that we will review more papers (and/or grants).

With the great endeavor of computer vision community, 2D human pose estimation has achieved considerable success in recent years, from the introduction of single-person pose estimation models such as the convolutional pose machine and stacked hourglass models  to multi-person pose estimation networks such as OpenPose.
