The Industry Digital Signal Processing Technology (IDSP) Standing Committee was formed in 1999 to promote industry participation in the Signal Processing Society and ICASSP, in particular. Fields of interest span those covered by the Technical Committees of the SP Society but special emphasis is placed on practical industry applications of signal and image processing.

IEEE has launched 11 tutorials in seven languages as part of its online training and support program for the IEEE Xplore® digital library. The self-paced tutorials are presented on the IEEE client services Web page as voice-narrated Flash videos with complete downloadable transcripts in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. The focus of the tutorials is to highlight various features of IEEE Xplore, including the new search system, which navigates more than two million technical documents currently found in the digital library.

By observing many groups solving a wide variety of problems, we can determine the relationship between problem space structure and the solution process.

Zhefeng Li (University of Delaware), “Space-time/frequency Coded MIMO and Cooperative OFDM Systems”, Advisor: Prof. Xia, Xiang-Gen (2010) Space-time/Frequency Coding (SFC) can achieve the spatial and multipath diversities for a MIMO-OFDM system by coding across multiple antennas and subcarriers. This thesis presents a family of space-time-frequency codes that achieve both full spatial and multipath diversities by using Orthogonal Space-Time Block Codes (OSTBC).
