Scope:
The purpose of the Big Data SIG is to promote within the Signal Processing Community awareness of (and interest in) problems related to large amounts of data (Big Data). Its initial goal will be to provide a forum for key SPS volunteers to propose activities that would lead to increase awareness, including for example special sessions at ICASSP, special issues in journals, a GlobalSIP symposium, ad hoc retreats, etc.
