IEEE Signal Processing Society offers funding to SPS members and chapters to encourage volunteerism and society involvement in local activities. The Society offers funding opportunities for several subprograms under the Member Driven Initiatives program.
SPS offers a variety of resources to its Student, Graduate Student, and Young Professional members, connecting them to career development opportunities, networking events, conference discounts, travel grants, and more.
The Signal Processing Cup (SP Cup) competition is held annually and encourages teams of students to work together to solve real-world problems using signal processing methods and techniques. Each year, three final teams are chosen to present their work during ICASSP to compete for the US$5,000 grand prize!
ScopeThe Signal Processing Theory and Methods (SPTM) Technical Committee (TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (IEEE-SPS) promotes activities within the technical areas of DSP and statistical signal processing theory and methods. The scope of SPTM has a broad span ranging from digital filtering and adaptive signal processing to statistical signal analysis, estimation and detection. Please see the SPTM TC EDICS link for specific areas of interest.
The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society. Technical Committees are actively involved in awards, conferences, publications, and educational activities, and provide technical advice to the Society's leadership.
