This year's election offers SPS members the opportunity to cast their votes via the web at https://eballot3.votenet.com/IEEE_SE for up to FOUR Member-at-Large candidates. Three will serve for a three-year term (1 January 2012-31 December 2014) and the fourth will fill a vacant Member-at-Large position for the 2012 calendar year. Ballots must be received at IEEE no later than 1 September 2011 in order to be counted.

The IEEE SPS Technical Committee on Multimedia Signal Processing is now inviting proposals to host the IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP) in 2013. MMSP is one of the premier workshops in the area of multimedia signal processing and addresses research in areas which will have significant impacts on the future. MMSP 2010 was held in Saint Malo, France and the main theme of the conference was immersive communication and virtual reality. MMSP 2011 is being organized in Hangzhou, China with the main theme being Client-Cloud computing.

The IEEE Signal Processing Magazine has ranked first AGAIN among all IEEE publications (127 in total) and among all publications within the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Category (247 in total), in terms of its impact factor.

Now the ICASSP2011 Organizing Committee is happy to inform you that video recordings of ICASSP 2011 oral talks are available online.

The Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee for each Technical Committee is currently seeking nominations for new Members, as well as the Vice Chair position for some Technical Committees.
