News and Resources for Members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society

Society News

If you want to test your circuit design being an electrical or electronics engineer, then you have chosen the right event. Test your design, simulation, and hardware implementation skills with real-time applications (in collaboration with IEEE Robotics and Automation Society).

Since the establishment of the IEEE BBDITM Signal Processing Society on December 30, 2020, we have successfully organized 54 events. There was a grand inauguration of the society chapter on February 4, 2021. And several other events were organized both offline as well as online by our branch chapter.

IEEE Signal Processing Society Past President Ahmed Tewfik, in his capacity as Chair of the Society’s Nominations and Appointments Committee, invites nominations for the IEEE Signal Processing Society Officer positions of Vice President-Education for the term 1 January 2023-31 December 2025 and Vice President-Membership for the term 1 January 2023-31 December 2025.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the following journals: IEEE Signal Processing Letters for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2023.

The Signal Processing Society is pleased to announce the 5-Minute Video Clip Contest (5-MICC) at ICASSP in Singapore May 22-27, 2022. The topic chosen this year is graph signal processing (GSP) and its applications. Graph signals arise in various applications, such as sensor networks, power systems, social networks, and biological studies.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 58 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest.

The IEEE SPS congratulates the following SPS members who will receive the Society’s prestigious awards during ICASSP 2022 in Singapore.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) announces the 2022 Class of Distinguished Lecturers and Distinguished Industry Speakers for the term of 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023.  The IEEE SPS Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Program provides a means for Chapters to have access to well-known educators and authors in the fields of signal processing to lecture at Chapter meetings.

Each year, the IEEE Board of Directors confers the grade of Fellow on up to one-tenth of one percent of the voting members.  To qualify for consideration, an individual must have been a Member, normally for five years or more, and a Senior Member at the time for nomination to Fellow.  The grade of Fellow recognizes unusual distinction in IEEE’s designated fields.
