Led by Dr. Gaurav Sharma, a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Signal Processing Society, the Author Workshop on "How to Write a Technical Paper with IEEE" was organized by IEEE Signal Processing Society, Gujarat Chapter, as part of ICASSP 2025 Satellite Event during PiCET 2024 (Parul University International Conference on Emerging Trends). This workshop provided participants with essential insights into scholarly publishing practices, focusing on navigating IEEE publication standards
Dr. Gaurav Sharma, a distinguished Professor (DL IEEE SPS ) in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Rochester, brought extensive expertise to the workshop. With prior experience as the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and as a member of the IEEE Publications Services and Product Board. Additionally, his role as the Technical Program Chair for ICASSP 2025 further underscored his prominence in the field of signal processing and academic publishing.
Organized by IEEE Signal Processing Society, Gujarat Chapter, the author workshop was an enlightening session for attendees. Dr. Gaurav Sharma, a distinguished Lecturer, spearheaded the event, providing invaluable insights into the intricacies of academic publishing. Throughout the workshop, adaptively navigating through various crucial aspects of scholarly writing, shedding light on Publication Metrics and Open Access models that are pivotal for authors aiming to disseminate their research effectively.
