Nominations for both positions should be submitted directly to each Technical Committee’s Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee. The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 10 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest.

Nominations Open for 2016 Major SPS Awards

The SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for all Society level awards, from paper awards to the major society awards. Nominations are due by 1 September 2016.

Introducing the SPS Resource Center

In 2013, the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) introduced SigView – our online portal of video tutorials in emerging signal processing topics. Over three years, SigView amassed more than 70 videos of technical tutorials, conference recordings, presentations, and more, setting a standard for quality, vetted , and timely signal processing resources.

As the Society’s membership grows and evolves, so should its products and services. To that end, we introduce SPS’s newest member benefit – the SPS Resource Center.

Call for Nominations: Chapter of the Year Award

The IEEE Signal Processing Society Chapter of the Year Award will be presented for the sixth time in 2017. The award will be presented annually to a Chapter that has provided their membership with the highest quality of programs, activities and services. The award will be presented annually in conjunction with the International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) to the Chapter’s representative. The award will consist of a certificate and a check in the amount of $1,000 to support local chapter activities.
