The IEEE Signal Processing Society Chapter of the Year Award will be presented for the 12th time in 2023. The award will be presented annually to a Chapter that has provided their membership with the highest quality of programs, activities and services.

Dr. Yang Lei is a Principal Research Engineer and Tech Lead at HP, leading the efforts of developing computer vision solutions for computing products. Her work has been applied to various domains, including video conferencing, life science, digital manufacturing, education, etc.

Prof. Nikolaos (Nikos) Sidiropoulos is the Louis T. Rader Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland–College Park, in 1992.

Integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) systems result from a coordinated or joint design of sensing and communication functionalities to achieve efficient use of limited spectrum, operation with low cost and compact size hardware, additional sensing services for wireless networks, or improved system performance.

Josiane Zerubia (M.Sc. ’81, D.Eng. ’86, Ph.D. '88, 'Habilitation' '94) is a French Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA). She has also been Professor at ISAE-Supaero, Toulouse, France, for over 20 years.
