Deadline 1 June 2011: Call for Proposals to Host ICME 2013/2014

The Steering Committee of the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME) recently distributed a call for proposals to host ICME 2013 and ICME 2014, to be held in summer of both years. IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo (ICME) has been the flagship multimedia conference sponsored by four IEEE societies since 2000. It serves as a forum to promote the exchange of the latest advances in multimedia technologies, systems, and applications from both the research and development perspectives of the circuits and systems, communications, computer, and signal processing communities. An Exposition of multimedia products, animations and industries will be held in conjunction with the conference. Proposals are invited from organizing teams and should contain the following items:
  1. Proposed dates
  2. Names and biographies of the organizing team members
  3. Names and membership information of the Technical committee
  4. Proposed budget
  5. Support anticipated from local government, universities, or corporations
  6. Information about the proposed location
For more information, or to signify an intent to propose, please contact Prof. Wenjun Zeng at zengw@missouri.edu before April 1, 2011. The full proposal should be sent to Lisa Schwarzbek, Conference Services Manager, IEEE Signal Processing Society at l.schwarzbek@ieee.org, no later than June 1, 2011. The Steering Committee may ask the proposals to be presented at their meeting at ICME 2011, to be held in Barcelona, Spain from July 11-15, 2011.
