ISBI, the flagship conference organized by the Biomedical Imaging and Signal Processing Technical Committee (BISP TC), was held in San Francisco, CA, USA, in April 2013. The event was successful and exciting for all participants, especially with its traditional Grand Challenges. ISBI 2014, will take place in Beijing, China in late April. While regular paper submissions will be accepted until October 1, as a unique feature, 1-page papers that highlight exciting results from work-in-progress will be accepted until December 2. Grand challenges will also continue to be posed to the community, and and a best paper competition will be held. The broader SPS community is invited to participate in ISBI challenges and activities in 2014.
