With the Dragon Drive platform, Nuance offers a deeply integrated hybrid solution that can be customized to become an OEM-branded smart automotive assistant which seamlessly integrates into the user’s connected ecosystem.

In this position, you will pursue cutting edge research aligned with Nuance’s long-term AI roadmap. The focus will be on developing or improving deep learning algorithms/models for application in natural language understanding and conversational AI systems.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is dedicated to promoting webinars on technical and technological innovations (and their applications) in signal processing from top researchers and thought leaders in academia and industry making these available on the SPS Resource Center. 

As a member of the SpeechOutput team, the candidate will work as a Speech Scientist on prompt creation for Automotive customer projects. Therefore, they need phonetic and computational linguistic skills as background knowledge. These are needed to support, facilitate and validate the results of prompt optimization processes for customer projects. Moreover, such skills are needed to understand the algorithmic and acoustic implications of each specific customization decision.

The candidate will contribute to the development of user friendly dialog applications that use Natural Language Generation technology. This development happens in close interaction with the main dialog application designer and people from the user experience team on the one side as well as the Text-To-Speech team on the other side to assure that a natural and high quality user experience is obtained.
