News and Resources for Members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society

Join IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) in celebrating 20 years of IEEE WIE.

In 1994, the IEEE Board of Directors established the Women in Engineering (WIE) committee to support the recruitment and retention of women within IEEE. Since then, IEEE WIE has grown to 450+ affinity groups with 15,000+ members around the world. With over 800 outreach, humanitarian, technical, community, and professional events last year, WIE is impacting, enhancing, and enabling the lives of hundreds of thousands of women and young girls in communities worldwide.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is pleased to sponsor travel grants to student and non-student authors from developing countries.

The grants will be awarded on a highly competitive basis to a limited number of applicants who have a genuine need for financial support to attend ICASSP 2014. SPS membership is required and the paper quality will be taken into consideration.

GlobalSIP provides an opportunity for the Society's Technical Committees to hold their workshops in conjunction with GlobalSIP.

AtlantTIC Research Center for Information and Communications Technologies (atlanttic.uvigo.es/en) affiliated with the University of Vigo, Spain, invites 50 applications for PhD positions, junior engineer positions and postdoctoral positions in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

Intern candidate will gain real world experience while working for the world's largest medical device manufacturer. The candidate will be involved in research and development of algorithms for medical devices related to continuous glucose monitors.

The SPS invites nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the following journals: IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2015.

It has come to our attention that conferences with similar names, but not IEEE/Signal Processing Society (SPS)-sponsored, have been coming up on internet search results.
