In 1994, the IEEE Board of Directors established the Women in Engineering (WIE) committee to support the recruitment and retention of women within IEEE. Since then, IEEE WIE has grown to 450+ affinity groups with 15,000+ members around the world. With over 800 outreach, humanitarian, technical, community, and professional events last year, WIE is impacting, enhancing, and enabling the lives of hundreds of thousands of women and young girls in communities worldwide.

Call for nominations: IEEE WIE Awards and Recognition Program: deadline 1 April

The IEEE WIE awards and recognition program is designed to recognize WIE members and Affinity Groups that have made an outstanding contribution to WIE, their community, and the engineering community through their dedication and involvement in projects or activities directed toward fulfilling the WIE goals and objectives.
