New Society Officers Elected and Fellow Evaluation Committee Chair and Vice Chair Named for 2020

The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society elected two new Officers who will start their terms on 1 January 2020:

K.V.S. Hari will serve as 2020-2022 Vice President-Membership. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and is with the Indian Institute of Science, India. He succeeds Nikos Sidiropoulos who has held this position since January 2017.

Shrikanth Narayanan will serve as the inaugural Vice President-Education for the term of 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2022. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and is with the University of Southern California, USA.

The following volunteers have been named to the Fellow Evaluation Committee as Chair and Vice Chair. The appointment term is 1 January 2020 through 31 December 2020, renewable.

Nikos Sidiropoulos has been named Fellow Evaluation Committee Chair. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and is with University of Virginia, USA. He is succeeding Isabel Trancoso who has held the Chair post since 2017.

Julia Hirschberg has been named Fellow Evaluation Committee Vice Chair. She is a Fellow of the IEEE and is with Columbia University, USA.
