A postdoctoral fellow position is available for March 1, 2014 in the department of Medicine (division of Neurology) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) ‐ in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The successful applicant will be a contributing member of the Pharmacoepidemiology in Multiple Sclerosis (PiMS) research group. With the vision of fostering excellence in multidisciplinary clinical, therapeutic, and epidemiological research to advance knowledge and improve the well‐being of those affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), the PiMS research group thrives on diversity.

2014 IEEE Signal Processing Cup

The IEEE SP Cup is a competition that provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to form teams and work together to solve a challenging and interesting real-world problem using signal-processing techniques and methods. Three teams will be selected to present their work, and prizes will be awarded at ICASSP 2014.

Signal Processing Society 2013 Accomplishments

Thankfully, 2013 was a year of many accomplishments for SPS: SPS is experiencing steady membership growth; SPS made tremendous headway on our new open signal processing document database, SigPort; We're making strides toward facilitating knowledge and engagement among Student members; The expansion of SPS conferences is imperative to the visibility of SPS; Special Interest Groups (SIGs) were established; and our publications are flourishing.
