H. Vincent Poor, SPS Awards Board Chair The SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for all Society level awards, from paper awards to the major society awards. Nominations are due by 1 September 2017 and should be submitted to Theresa Argiropoulos (t.argiropoulos@ieee.org), who will collect the nominations on behalf of H. Vincent Poor, Awards Board Chair. Nominators should take into consideration the need for representation of diversity in the nomination slate, when submitting their nominations.

IEEE Signal Processing Society Vice President-Membership Nikos Sidiropoulos invites nominations for the positions of Chief Editor, Signal Processing Repository (SigPort) and Chief Editor, Resource Center for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2018. Nominations must be received no later than 31 May 2017. SIGPORT SigPort is the Society’s online archive of manuscripts, reports, theses, and supporting materials. It collects technical material of interest to the broad signal processing community.

Overview The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) has allocated $20,000 for Member-Driven Initiatives for the 2017 calendar year. The funding is open to all Signal Processing Society members, Chapters and Committees. However, all proposals must include the involvement of the local Chapter to encourage geographic development. Allocation of funds will be competitive. Access application here.
