The IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (T-MM) solicits nominations for the Transactions Best Paper Award for 2010.  If you have read a paper which you feel is of exceptional merit, please consider nominating it for the award. The nominations period is open until 15 April 2010.  Any paper published in T-MM in 2007, 2008, or 2009 is eligible.

Nominations should include the following information:
1.          Nominator
2.          Bibliographic information for the paper
3.          A short statement of support (less than 500 words) explaining the rationale for the nomination.

Judging shall be on the bases of general quality, originality, subject matter, and timeliness.  The winner will be announced at ICME 2010 in July.  Please send nominations to the Editor-in-Chief, Sheila Hemami, at <hemami AT ece.cornell.edu> in plain text format (no attachments please).

MMSP TC --

As many of you have probably seen, the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia is now calling for nominations for the T-MM 2010 Best Paper Award.  Please consider nominating a paper for the award by April 15, as specified below.

FYI: Like ICME, the T-MM is a partnership between four IEEE Societies: SPS, ComSoc, CAS, and Computer.  As such, its awards process is different than the awards process for publications that are fully owned by the Signal Processing Society.  For SPS publications, the MMSP TC Awards subcommittee handles the awards process for papers in the MMSP area (and will begin to do so June 1), but for the T-MM our TC does not play an official part of the awards process.  However MMSP TC members, as individuals, are free to make T-MM paper nominations and are encouraged to do so since we are supposedly the multimedia domain experts from one of T-MM's four partner societies.
