Xiaojie Zhang(University of California, San Diego), “LDPC Codes -- Structural Analysis and Decoding Techniques”, Advisor: Prof. Paul H. Siegel, 2012

The IEEE SPS Italy Chapter Summer School on Signal Processing is intended to take advantage of the presence on site of Italian and International experts in the Signal Processing domain to provide students an insight on some basic general issues of wide use.

The Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee (MLSP TC) is excited to announce their upcoming workshops and also list the new members of the MLSP TC and awards/appointments recently received by the MLSP TC.

The IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS-TC) launched the First IFS-TC Image Forensics Challenge, a detection and localization forensics contest, open to students, researchers and practitioners interested in role-playing a forensic analyst.

GlobalSIP is a new flagship conference launched by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) in 2013. The focus of GlobalSIP is on signal and information processing and up-and-coming signal processing themes.

The conference is composed of multiple co-located symposia, each with its own poster track for paper presentations, and invited plenary talks. The poster sessions for all symposia are co-located and the plenary talks are aligned into two parallel oral tracks.

The Design and Implementation of Signal Processing Systems Technical Committee (DISPS TC) has the mission to promote and support activities of the IEEE Signal Processing Society in the areas of: i) Design, development and implementation of signal processing systems; ii) Design of algorithms with implementation in mind and iii) the Design of software tools and methodologies to support the design of signal processing systems.

Schlumberger-Doll Research, based in Cambridge, MA, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral position in its Petrophysics group.

The candidate will conduct research in the area of signal processing, optimization and inversion for petrophysical applications with focus on data analysis and algorithm development for constrained and/or simultaneous inversion of various types of data.
