Society News

The IEEE annual election begins on 16 August and ends on 1 October. All ballots must be received by 12:00 p.m. EDT USA/16:00 UTC. The IEEE Signal Processing Society is committed to ensuring that its members are prepared with sufficient information about the candidates in order to make their best informed decision. 

The following volunteers have been named Editors-in-Chief of IEEE Signal Processing Society publications. The term for these Editors-in-Chief will run from 1 January 2022 through 31 December 2024.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society has developed guidelines related to SPS Chapter social media and Chapter Activities.

In an effort to continue our programs and services during this difficult time, the SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for all Society level awards, from paper awards to the major society awards. Nominations are due by 1 September 2021.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 108 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the SPS Distinguished Industry Speaker (DIS) Program and the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Program.  Please note that the Distinguished Industry Speaker positions supplements the Distinguished Lecturer Program.  The main difference and goal of the DIS Program is to educate and interact with Society members about topics that are of primary importance to industry and the signal processing community-at-large.
