The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is proud to announce the inaugural class of SPS Scholarship recipients! New in 2023, the SPS Scholarship Program recognizes students who have expressed interest and commitment to pursuing signal processing education and real-world career experiences. 

The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the following journals: IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, and IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2025.  

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.

Nominations are due 15 January annually for the IEEE Technical Field Awards (TFAs). Download nomination forms and award-specific criteria.

IEEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership of the IEEE. It honors members with an outstanding record of technical achievements, contributing importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, and bringing significant value to society.

The Mentoring Experiences for Underrepresented Young Researchers (ME-UYR) is a mentoring program financed by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS). ME-UYR helps you to establish a connection with a mentor at another university.

ME-UYR is under way! We are currently looking for students and mentors who are interested in participating in this mentoring experience. Please find more information in the Call for Student participants and the Call for Mentors.

All throughout June, IEEE Signal Processing Society Chapters and Student Branch Chapters from around the world gathered to celebrate the inaugural SPS Day! Established this year in conjunction with the Society’s 75th anniversary, SPS Day will be celebrated every 2 June to commemorate SPS’s establishment on that date in 1948.
