On 14 May 2021, G. Renu opened the inaugural 2021 Regional Meeting on Deep Learning and Biomedical Signals with a welcome address and the opening curtain and lamp lighting ceremony was conducted by Mr. Deepak Mathur, Director, IEEE Region 10.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society.

Filtering is the fundamental operation upon which the field of signal processing is built. Loosely speaking, filtering is a mapping between signals, typically used to extract useful information (output signal) from data (input signal). Arguably, the most popular type of filter is the linear and shift-invariant (i.e. independent of the starting point of the signal) filter, which can be computed efficiently by leveraging the convolution operation. 

I-DeepLearn aims to increase diversity in computer science and related field by inviting students from grades 10-12 to experience machine learning (Artificial Intelligence) and deep learning (AI processing) and their applications, specifically in the healthcare domain. Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) have been the main technology used in aerial and ground vehicle navigation systems. As vehicles approach full autonomy, the requirements on the accuracy, reliability, and availability of their navigation systems become very stringent. Due to the limitations of GNSS, namely severe attenuation in deep urban canyons and susceptibility to interference, jamming, and spoofing, alternative sensors and signals are sought.
