Professor, Tenure Track

The Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics at the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering invites applications for

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN SIGNAL PROCESSING (tenure track)

Detailed call and instructions how to apply at: https://www.aalto.fi/en/open-positions/assistant-professor-in-signal-processing

The call is in a broad area of signal processing with special emphasis on:

Research Scientist - Speech Technology

The speech technology research group at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY is seeking research scientist candidates with demonstrated publication records in top machine learning, speech, vision, or natural language processing conferences. The role will focus on fundamental research on speech recognition models and algorithms, in collaboration with other IBM researchers and the IBM Data and AI development organization, as well as delivery of new technologies into IBM's Watson speech services.

PhD position in Multi-dimensional Signal Processing for Next Generation Wireless Radios

The progress in circuit technology has allowed researchers to think about leveraging spectrum beyond millimeter wave. It is not unreasonable to imagine commodity radios with massive antenna arrays and emerging radio frequency (RF) technologies in the near future. To enable efficient communication with these radios, it is critical to understand hardware constraints at the antennas, the RF and the digital front ends. In this position, you will design new waveforms and algorithms for communications while accounting for the hardware constraints in futuristic radios.

Speech and Deep Learning Researcher (KTP Associate)

We are inviting applications for a Speech and Deep Learning Researcher to work with Prof Thomas Hain and Dr Anton Ragni at The University of Sheffield and ZOO Digital PLC, an innovative international media localisation company with its research and development centre in Sheffield.    To apply: https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/CFP768/speech-and-deep-learning-researcher-ktp-associate

Innovation Starts with Education

Signal processing (SP) is at the very heart of our digital lives, owing to its role as the pivotal enabling technology for advancement across multiple disciplines. Its prominence in modern data science has created a necessity to supply industry, government labs, and academia with graduates who possess relevant SP expertise and are well equipped to deal with the manifold challenges in current and future applications.

Call for Nominations: Distinguished Industry Speakers and Distinguished Lecturers

The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the SPS Distinguished Industry Speaker (DIS) Program and the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Program.  Please note that the Distinguished Industry Speaker positions supplements the Distinguished Lecturer Program.  The main difference and goal of the DIS Program is to educate and interact with Society members about topics that are of primary importance to industry and the signal processing community-at-large.
