IEEE recently introduced the Student Transition and Elevation Partnership (STEP), a program designed to facilitate the seamless transition from IEEE Student member to young professional by emphasizing the value of IEEE membership at the onset of a STEM career. Through STEP activities and IEEE’s educational and professional resources, we strive to inspire students to consider IEEE membership as an asset during the beginning stages of their careers.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society is accepting proposals for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP). SPS Members are invited to submit a proposal to host GlobalSIP. If you are interested in submitting a proposal please reference our GlobalSIP Proposal Guidelines.


CALL FOR PROPOSALS: ICIP 2019 - Deadline 31 July 2014

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is accepting proposals for the 2019 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP®). SPS Members are invited to submit a proposal to host ICIP 2019. If you are interested in submitting a proposal please reference our ICIP Proposal Guidelines.

The Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee for each Technical Committee is currently seeking nominations for new Members, as well as the Vice Chair position for some Technical Committees.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 technical committees and two Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that support a broad selection of signal processing related activities defined by the scope of the Society. Technical Committees and SIGs are actively involved in awards, conferences, publications, and educational activities, and provide technical advice to the Society’s leadership.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the position of Chief Editor for the Signal Processing Repository (SigPort) for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2015. SigPort is in the development stage, but it will be the Society’s online archive of manuscripts, reports, theses, and supporting materials.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) has more than 16,000 members worldwide – over 16,000 people’s worth of knowledge and ideas spread around the globe. While the conveniences of modern technology have certainly made worldwide communication easier, there’s great value in exchanging ideas face-to-face.
