Call for Chair Nominations: Women in Signal Processing Subcommittee and Young Professionals Subcommittee

Kostas Plataniotis, SPS Vice President-Membership The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the positions of: Chair, Women in Signal Processing Subcommittee and Chair, Young Professionals Subcommittee. The term for both Chair postions is three years (1 January 2015-31 December 2017). The Chair, Women in Signal Processing Subcommittee reports to the Membership Services Committee and is responsible for identifying value/benefit/services to women members and recommending policy/mechanism for recruiting women members; developing programs and material to facilitate women member recruiting and services; maintaining and developing contacts with leadership and membership constituents; and providing proper communication channels and feedback. The Chair, Young Professionals Subcommittee reports to the Membership Services Committee and is responsible for identifying value/benefit/services to young professional members and recommending policy/mechanism for recruiting young professional members; developing programs and material to facilitate young professional member recruiting and services; maintaining and developing contacts with leadership and membership constituents; and providing proper communication channels and feedback. Nominations must be received no later than 1 September 2014.
