IEEE ICIP 2026: Home of Imaging
Since 1994, the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) has been a home for researchers, innovators, and technology leaders shaping the future of image processing, vision, and imaging. In 2026, the community will gather for the 33rd edition of the conference in Tampere, Finland, a city where imaging is deeply rooted in both scientific excellence and industrial innovation. Under the slogan “Home of Imaging,” ICIP 2026 celebrates not only Tampere’s unique imaging ecosystem but also the conference’s enduring role as the place where the global imaging community comes together to exchange ideas, build collaborations, and discover what comes next. The Technical Program Committee is committed to a rigorous, fair, and constructive peer-review process, maintaining the highest standards and a selective acceptance rate to ensure a high-quality technical program that reflects the latest advances in the field. Attendees can look forward to an exceptional lineup of plenary and keynote speakers, enlightening tutorials and short courses, as well as multiple opportunities to engage and contribute through regular and special-session papers, spotlight papers, the Journal Papers Track, the new Research-in-Progress Track, the Show-and-Tell Demo Track, Grand Challenges, and more.
ICIP 2026 will also place a strong emphasis on connecting research with real-world innovation through an extensive industry program. Industry leaders will share their perspectives through keynotes, expert talks, panels, demonstrations, and a technical exhibition, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue between academia and industry and bringing together many of the world's leading technology companies. At the heart of the program will be seven industry-focused workshops covering timely topics such as image and video compression, mobile imaging, immersive imaging, imaging pipelines and computational photography, and next-generation imaging technologies. Building on growing enthusiasm from the community, ICIP 2026 will further expand its program with twenty two satellite workshops creating additional spaces for emerging topics, specialized discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Together, these activities reflect the conference’s strategic vision: to strengthen ICIP as the premier annual gathering for imaging research and innovation, and to welcome the global community to Tampere — to come together at home, the Home of Imaging.
