The 18th annual flagship conference organized by the Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA) will bring together researchers, engineers, and industry practitioners from around the world for four days to present breakthroughs and to exchange ideas in the fields of signal and information processing, communications, and information technology. The conference will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 9 through 12, 2026, with Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport serving as the conference venue.

Since its inaugural edition in Sapporo, Japan (2009), APSIPA ASC has established itself as the flagship APSIPA venue for a wide range of signal processing research, with previous editions held in countries along the Pacific Rim such as Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United States.

The technical program of APSIPA ASC 2026 is organized around several core themes that reflect the evolving landscape of the following ten fields: Audio, Acoustics, and Music (AAM), Biomedical Signal Processing and Systems (BioSPS), Image, Video, and Multimedia (IVM), Machine Learning and Data Analytics (MLDA), Multimedia Security and Forensics (MSF), Signal and Information Processing Theory and Methods (SIPTM), Signal Processing Systems: Design and Implementation (SPS), Speech and Language Processing (SLP), Wireless Communications and Networking (WCN), SIP Education (SIPE). The conference will host various Special Tracks on cutting-edge topics in the forms of Special Sessions, Perspective Panels, Grand Challenges and Workshops. The conference will also include three keynote talks on deep model fusion, computer graphics in the AI age, and sampling-rate conversion with a large fast Fourier transform. In addition, APSIPA ASC 2026 collocates a winter school with two topics: “Trustworthy Speech Foundation Models and LLM-Augmented Modeling for Pathological Speech” and “Foundation Models and Agentic AI.”

APSIPA ASC 2026 is led by Conference Co-Chairs Kosin Chamnongthai, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, C.-C. Jay Kuo, University of Southern California, and Chanon Warisarn, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, supported by an international organizing committee overseeing the technical program, keynotes, publications, finance, and publicity. APSIPA ASC 2026 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society. Additional information is available on the official conference website, https://www.apsipa2026.org/index.html .
