Postdoctoral Recruitment – Chair Professor Team of Shenzhen University

1. Main Supervisors:

a.      Prof. Lei Huang: Chair Professor, School of Information Engineering, Shen Zhen University.

b.      Prof. Jihong Zhang: Professor, School of Information Engineering, Shen Zhen University.

2. Research Topics:

a.      Array Signal Processing, Radar Signal Processing.

b.      Compressed Sensing, Sparse Signal Processing, Big Data.

c.      Machine Learning, Neural Network.

d.      Key Technologies of 5G Mobile Communication.

3. Job Description:

a)      Requirements:

i.       PhD degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematical and related majors.

ii.      Strong research and innovation capabilities with a good academic ethics and rigorous scientific attitude.

iii.     Outstanding academic performance: had published more than 1 paper in important academic journals of the corresponding major (for example, IEEE transactions), and has a certain amount of academic influence.

b)      Duration:

A contract of 2 years will be given.

c)      Note: the post-doctor can be supervised jointly at home and abroad according to the post-doctor’s will: the post-doctor can choose to have a one-year academic visit to universities in USA, UK, Hong Kong or Canada during the contract period.

4. Remuneration:

a)      No less than CNY 320,000 per year, including the monthly salary and a fixed allowance of CNY 120,000 per year.

b)      Additional research bonus based on performance(including but not limited to)

i.       Patent application and journal paper publications.

ii.      During the contract period, the post-doctor can apply for postdoctoral fund, national natural science fund and other funds as project leader, and bonus will be given based on successful application.

iii.     The post-doctor can also apply for the ‘excellent post-doctor plan’, once awarded, an extra CNY200,000 will be given.

c)      During the contract period, housing will be provided by Shenzhen University or Shenzhen Government, and the rental is lower than market price.

d)      After the contract:

i.       Excellent post-doctors will be recommended to be an assistant/associate professor in Shenzhen University.

ii.      If the post-doctor still works in Shenzhen after the contract period, he will get a start-up research fund (with the amount of CNY300,000) for sure; furthermore, if the post-doctor meets the standard for Shenzhen backup talent plan and/or the Shenzhen Peacock Plan, he/she will get CNY1,600,000 of housing allowance.
