The IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) is a scientific conference dedicated to mathematical, algorithmic, and computational aspects of biomedical imaging, across all scales of observation. It fosters knowledge transfer among different imaging communities and contributes to an integrative approach to biomedical imaging.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. The IEEE Signal Processing Society was recently awarded the IEEE Educational Activities Board Society/Council Professional Development Award! The award citation states, “for innovative educational and professional development programs that engage professionals, students and the general public in signal processing,” will be presented during the IEEE Meeting Series in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA later this month. SPS President Rabab Ward will accept the award on behalf of the Society.

The Fellow Reference Committee is seeking nominations for five new members of the 2017 Fellow Reference Committee. The term of appointment is three years, non-renewable (1 January 2017-31 December 2019). The position is responsible for evaluating nominations for IEEE Fellow that are referred for review by the IEEE Fellow Committee. Candidates must hold the grade of IEEE Fellow and must be an SPS Member.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 18 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest. The fourth IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP) will be held in Greater Washington, DC, USA on December 7–9, 2016. The conference features world-class plenary and keynote talks, tutorials and government panel discussions, as well as co-located timely symposia selected based on the responses to the Call for Symposium Proposals.
