The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the 2014 Class of SPS Distinguished Lecturers (DLs). The deadline for nominations is 31 May 2013.

Nominations are due 1 July 2013 for the 2014 IEEE Medals and Recognitions.

IEEE Medals are the highest recognition within the IEEE awards hierarchy, with the prestigious IEEE Medal of Honor as the premier award. IEEE Medals embrace broad and significant contributions within the technical fields of interest of IEEE.

The SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for 2013 major SPS awards, including the Society Award, the Technical Achievement Award, the Education Award, and the Meritorious Service Award. The Society also recognizes outstanding publications in SPS journals and magazines through the Best Paper Award, Young Author Best Paper Award, Signal Processing Magazine Best Paper Award, Best Column Award and the new Signal Processing Letters Best Paper Award.

The VideoSense Summer School focuses on Ethically-guided and Privacy-respecting Video Analytics, which is organized by the VideoSense EU FP7 Networks of Excellence.

Following the previous successful Summer School in Dublin (you can watch a short video here), the Second VideoSense Summer School will be held on 30 June 2013 in DSP2013 premises, Santorini, Greece.
