It is my pleasure to announce that the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) annual election will commence on 15 August, and your vote is more important than ever! This year, all eligible SPS Members will vote for the next President-Elect (term 1 January 2024 through 31 December 2025), in addition to the Regional Directors-at-Large for Regions 7 & 9 and 10 (term 1 January 2024 through 31 December 2025), and Members-at-Large (term 1 January 2024 through 31 December 2026) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Board of Governors (BoG).

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) conducts webinars presented by professionals in the field of signal processing and related technologies on an ongoing basis. Webinars are also hosted periodically by SPS Technical Committees, and other network of communities. Visit the Upcoming Events page to see a list of our upcoming webinars and join us! IEEE has announced the 2024 IEEE Technical Field Award recipients. Three IEEE Signal Processing Society members have been recognized with an IEEE Technical Field Award.

Pierre Comon is currently Emeritus Research Director with CNRS. He received the Doctorate degree in 1985 from the University of Grenoble, and the Habilitation to Lead Researches in 1995, from the University of Nice, France.

This year the Signal Processing Society identified 12 Chapters who exhibited excellence in many facets of chapter management, member recruitment, and activities.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society.

The IEEE annual election begins on 15 August and ends on 2 October.  All ballots must be received by 12:00 noon EDT USA/16:00 UTC. The IEEE Signal Processing Society is committed to ensuring that its members are prepared with sufficient information about the candidates in order to make their best-informed decision.
