Call For Proposals: IEEE ICIP 2028

Submission Deadline: 14 March 2025

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) welcomes proposals for the organization of the 2028 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) and invites SPS members to submit a proposal.

ICIP is the premier international forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied image and video processing.  The series is sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society and has been held annually since 1994.  Research frontiers in fields ranging from traditional image processing applications to evolving multimedia and video technologies are regularly advanced by results first reported at ICIP.

To submit a proposal, first familiarize yourself with the SPS Conference Organizer Guidelines. Please read, review, discuss and build your proposal and plans based around these guidelines. If you'd like more information to strengthen your proposal development, you can request support by completing the SPS Conference Proposal Information Request Form. Then, please complete and submit the following material by 14 March 2025:

  1. SPS Conference Proposal Pre-Screening Form
  2. SPS Conference Proposal Pre-Screening Budget Summary
  3. Organizing Committee List

Proposal Pre-screening Forms will be assessed by the IVMSP Technical Committee and the SPS Conferences Board Executive Subcommittee to determine the final proposing teams.

Finalists will be invited to prepare full proposals, host a site visit by SPS representatives between June and August 2025, and present the proposal at the SPS Conferences Board meeting and IVMSP TC meetings held at ICIP 2025 from 14-17 September in Anchorage, AK, USA. Submit a Pre-Screening form.
