Call for Tutorials: IEEE SiPS 2018

The IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS) is a premier international forum addressing current and future challenges and new research directions on the design and implementation of signal processing systems.

The program committee is now accepting tutorial proposals for SiPS 2018 that cover state-of-the-art, timely, and high-impact topics on the design and implementation of signal processing systems. The theme of the conference this year is “High-Performance Signal Processing for Learning, Sensing and Sustainability“. However, tutorial proposals in all areas of design and implementation of signal processing, including but not limited to the conference theme, are encouraged. In particular, we encourage tutorials that provide opportunities to the students, engineers, and scientists in southern and other parts of Africa to learn cutting-edge engineering and scientific materials from the experts.

Each tutorial proposal is limited to two pages, plus one page for the professional biographies of the tutorial presenters that highlight their related experience on the topics proposed. The following information must be included in the proposal:

  • Title of the tutorial
  • Presenter name(s), affiliations, and contact information
  • Format of the tutorial: half-day (3 hours) or full day (6 hours)
  • Rationale for the tutorial including both importance and timeliness
  • Outline of the tutorial and description of the materials to be presented

Tutorial proposals are accepted until April 15, 2018. Notifications of acceptance will be made by May 15, 2018. Please send tutorial proposals to the co-chairs listed below:

Xinmiao Zhang, The Ohio State University, USA - Email X. Zhang

Simon Winberg, University of Cape Town - Email S. Winberg
