Inactive Chapters
Please be advised that IEEE gauges the vitality of a chapter by tracking how many meetings are reported during the year through vTools. If a chapter reports "0" meetings for three consecutive years, the chapter is placed on a dissolution list that is reviewed at the November Board Meeting.
Upcoming Webinar: "Fast Detection of Transformed Data Leaks" presented by Xiaokui Shu and based on an IEEE Xplore article published in IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security
This webinar, “Fast Detection of Transformed Data Leaks,” will discuss how the leak of sensitive data across secure network boundaries is becoming one of the most critical concerns for many industries in the move towards digitalization, building worldwide information portals, and the cloud.
New Society Officers Elected and Fellow Evaluation Committee Chair and Vice Chair Named for 2020
The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society elected two new Officers who will start their terms on 1 January 2020.
Process Change for Member Driven Initiative Proposals
Due to overwhelming interest in Member Driven Initiative funding, the IEEE Signal Processing Society has changed its process for submitting proposals through the program. This includes proposals for Forums, Regional Meetings, and Chapter Driven Initiatives.
Job Opportunities in Signal Processing
IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.
Upcoming Webinar! Upcoming Webinar! “Direct Localization for Massive MIMO” presented by Nil Garcia and based on an IEEE Xplore article published in IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing
This webinar, “Direct Localization for Massive MIMO,” will discuss how Large-scale MIMO systems are well known for their advantages in communications, but they also have the potential for providing very accurate localization, thanks to their high angular resolution.
Upcoming Distinguished Lectures
Please visit the Conferences and Events page on the IEEE Signal Processing Society website for Upcoming Lectures by Distinguished Lecturers.
