Innovative audio and acoustics research projects are opening the door to new applications, in fields ranging from structure analysis to pharmaceutical production to medical analytics, which seemed improbable only a few years ago.

The Dynamic Geometry Competition is an international competition organized by the IEEE Multimedia Signal Processing Technical Committee (MMSP-TC), and sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

The Summer 2013 edition of the IEEE Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee’s Newsletter is now online. It includes a number of announcements from the TC chair, as well as a number of articles collated by the editorial boarded.

The Sensor Array and Multichannel Technical Committee (SAM TC) welcomes new members, and several SAM members and nominees received IEEE Signal Processing Society awards. CAMSAP2013 will be held at the Radisson Blu Resort in Saint Martin on December 15-18, 2013.

The Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee (MLSP TC) is excited to announce their upcoming workshops and also list the new members of the MLSP TC and awards/appointments recently received by the MLSP TC.

The IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS-TC) launched the First IFS-TC Image Forensics Challenge, a detection and localization forensics contest, open to students, researchers and practitioners interested in role-playing a forensic analyst.
