News and Resources for Members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society
The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is accepting proposals from Regions 1-6 (USA) or 7 (Canada) for the 2017 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP). SPS Members are invited to submit a proposal to host GlobalSIP. If you are interested in submitting a proposal please reference our guidelines for preparing and submitting a proposal: http://www.signalprocessingsociety.org/uploads/conferences/Globalsip_Proposal_Guidelines.pdf. GlobalSIP is a recently launched flagship conference of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. It is made up of a series of symposia and workshops. The conference focuses broadly on signal and information processing with an emphasis on up-and-coming signal processing themes. The conference features world-class speakers, tutorials, exhibits, and technical sessions consisting of poster and oral presentations. To submit a proposal, send a notice of intent to the VP-Conferences and Conference Services Staff at sps-conf-proposals@ieee.org. Include in the notice your contact information and the proposed location. Staff will issue the proposal prescreening form and guidelines upon receipt of the letter of intent. The Prescreening form must be completed and submitted to sps-conf-proposals@ieee.org by 27 May 2016. Proposal Prescreening Forms will be assessed by the Conference Board Executive Subcommittee. Accepted bidding teams [finalists] will be invited to present at the Conference Board meeting held at ICIP 2016, 25-28 September 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
