September 2021 - IEEE SPS SAM Webinar Series (SAW) approved
by Xiangrong Wang, Wei Liu
This new monthly seminar series will provide an online platform for the sensor array and multichannel signal processing community to share their most recent research developments covering themed topics about frontier and cutting-edge techniques that are emerging in the SAM community --- such as artificial intelligence/machine learning-assisted array processing, and sensor array processing for robotics and autonomous systems. It will also accommodate tutorial style presentations to educate the next generation researchers, with focuses on fundamental and basic knowledge in certain fields, such as basics of deep learning and its successful applications in array processing/communications. The format of the tutorials will be flexible, with a length of one to three hours, subject to the choice of the speakers. The longer ones will have an emphasis on education of the fundamentals but also keep an eye on the most recent advances. The target audience are graduate students and professionals who wish to start their research in pertinent fields.
The series will be organized by two of our current SAM TC members Nuria Gonzalez Prelcic and Xiao Fu, on behalf of the SAM TC. If you are interested in giving a talk as part of the SAW, please contact both of them at:
Dr Nuria Gonzalez Prelcic, email: ngprelcic@ncsu.edu
Dr Xiao Fu, email: xiao.fu@oregonstate.edu
