The Sensor Array and Multichannel (SAM) Technical Committee (TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society promotes activities within the technical fields of sensor array processing and multi-channel statistical signal processing.

Our technical interests include:

  • Beamforming and space-time adaptive processing
  • Direction-of-arrival estimation
  • Multi-channel processing and estimation
  • Multi-antenna communications, MIMO systems and space-time coding
  • Signal processing for sensor networks, network beamforming
  • Array processing for radar, sonar, communications, microphone arrays, and biomedical applications
  • Array calibration
  • Nonwave-based array processing
  • Synthetic aperture techniques
  • Waveform diverse sensors and systems
  • Multi-channel imaging
  • Statistical modeling for sensor arrays
  • Blind source separation and channel identification
  • Intelligent multisensor/multichannel systems and knowledge-based signal processing
  • Computational and optimization techniques for multi-sensor processing
