The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the 2015 Class of SPS Distinguished Lecturers (DLs). The deadline for nominations is 31 May 2014. The nomination form can be found online at this link, along with the current list of DLs and other general information about the program.

Nominations are due 1 July 2014 for the 2015 IEEE Medals and Recognitions.

IEEE Medals are the highest recognition within the IEEE awards hierarchy, with the prestigious IEEE Medal of Honor as the premier award. IEEE Medals embrace broad and significant contributions within the technical fields of interest of IEEE.

We are pleased to announce the details of the "MD Elevator Pitch Contest" and are encouraging recruitment and retention by personal outreach and contact.

There is no doubt that our Society’s interests continue to grow with astounding pace. So, 25 years after the name Signal Processing was adopted, it is timely to reflect on whether it continues to portray a true image of the Society’s activities. And if not, is there a name that can capture the Society’s scope better while at the same time improving its visibility? To participate and provide feedback, please go to the Power of a Name page.

Nominations are due 1 July 2014 for the 2015 IEEE Medals and Recognitions. Nominations for IEEE Awards Board Chair, Vice Chair, or Member-at-Large are due 15 March 2014.

Join IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) in celebrating 20 years of IEEE WIE.

In 1994, the IEEE Board of Directors established the Women in Engineering (WIE) committee to support the recruitment and retention of women within IEEE. Since then, IEEE WIE has grown to 450+ affinity groups with 15,000+ members around the world. With over 800 outreach, humanitarian, technical, community, and professional events last year, WIE is impacting, enhancing, and enabling the lives of hundreds of thousands of women and young girls in communities worldwide.
