2025 SPS President-Elect Special Election – Meet the candidates!

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) will hold a Special Election to fill the vacant President-Elect position, which will open on 6 February 2025 and close on 26 March 2025.

The candidates, in alphabetical order by surname, are:

  • K.V.S. Hari (nominated by SPS Board of Governors)
  • Marc Moonen (nominated by petition)
  • Ana Perez-Neira (nominated by SPS Board of Governors)
  • Nicholas Sidiropoulos (nominated by petition)

In an effort to introduce the President-Elect candidates to our membership, we invite our members to join a series of Town Halls held at varied times. This way, any SPS member regardless of their region can join and have the opportunity to ask the candidates questions.

  • Town Hall 1: Wednesday, 22 January from 7:00am – 8:30am Eastern - Register Here
  • Town Hall 2: Tuesday, 28 January from 1:00pm – 2:30pm Eastern - Register Here
  • Town Hall 3: Thursday, 30 January from 7:00pm-8:30pm Eastern - Register Here

The SPS Town Halls will primarily be a Question and Answer format with the candidates.  Advance questions are strongly encouraged and can be submitted in the registration for the Town Halls. The SPS Town Halls will not be recorded and each is likely to be unique.  Please make the effort to join at least one of the sessions to learn more about our candidates and their vision for the SPS.
