A Ph.D. research position is available in the KU Leuven, Electrical Engineering Department (ESAT), STADIUS Center for Dynamical Systems, Signal Processing and Data Analytics, in the frame of a research project on audio signal processing in ad-hoc wireless transducer array networks. The research activities will be focused on the design and evaluation of distributed digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for acoustic echo and feedback cancellation, active noise control, and sound field control in ad-hoc wireless transducer array networks.

Salary: GBP 30,688 to GBP 38,833 per annum

The candidate should have an M.S or Ph.D. degree in EE, CS, Acoustics or related discipline and with expertise in algorithm development. The candidate should also have interest (or experience) in applying machine learning (e.g., Deep Learning) and getting to understand new frameworks such as TensorFlow or Caffe would be useful.  Key skills of the successful candidate include:

International Audio Laboratories Erlangen is jointly operated by the Faculty of Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Institute for Integrated Circuits at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
